Mike Murphy, SOREDI Board of Directors
Mike Murphy is the Mayor of Grants Pass. He moved to Grants Pass from southern California as a young man in 1974 and says, "It was one of the best decisions I ever made."
Mike's career included years as a printshop manager and then as a high school teacher. He is now retired.
Mike says, " A vital and diverse economic base is critical to maintaining a healthy city and the quality of life we seek for our families. I enthusiastically support the work of SOREDI to retain and expand existing businesses and to promote new business opportunities in our region. Those of us who live in southern Oregon know how good life can be here!"
Prior to his election as Mayor, Mike served 11 years on the Grants Pass City Council. He has also served as a board member on a number of other community non-profit, city and county organizations.
